Our December Newsletter

We saw several new and exciting developments in maternal mental health care in 2022, from the White House officially recognizing Black Maternal Health Week to the launch of a first-ever Maternal Mental Health Hotline in the US. However, many challenges remain when it comes to addressing racial disparities in access and treatment.

The tragic death of Stephen Boss reminds us that we must continue to destigmatize mental health issues. We know the holidays are not a magical and happy time for everyone and can be triggering for so many people. Know that Seleni is here for you. Whether for yourself or your patients, remember resources are available including: the Suicide & Crisis Hotline 988; SAMSHA Hotline 800-662-HELP (4357); and the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline 833-943-5746 (833-9-HELP4MOMS).

We wish you the best for a happy holiday season and a healthy New Year.

Support Seleni: End of Year Giving

We hope you will consider supporting Seleni's Financial Assistance Program before December 31. Many women cannot afford the emotional support they need, impacting not only them, but also the families that depend on them. No one should be marginalized when it comes to mental health, and all individuals should be able to receive treatment with dignity. Thank you for your support.
